God's Word To You

A DAILY DEVOTIONAL

July 3

The Harvest is Ready

Key Scripture:

“The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” — Luke 10:2 (NKJV)

Devotional Thought:

Jesus paints a picture of urgency and abundance when He speaks of the harvest. The world is full of people—broken, searching, and spiritually hungry. The problem isn’t the lack of opportunity; it’s the lack of laborers. The field is ripe, but too few are willing to go.

As missionary Christians, we must recognize that we are the answer to Jesus' prayer request. He asks us to pray for laborers—and to become those laborers ourselves. Every conversation, every act of kindness, and every gospel seed planted contributes to the great harvest of souls.

Don’t wait for the perfect opportunity or title. The time is now. The place is wherever God has placed you. Lift your eyes—the harvest is all around you.

Call to Action

You've Read It-Now Live It!

Here's how to take the next step:

1. Pray Daily for Your Mission Field

Start every day by asking God: "Who are You sending me to today?" Be expectant.

2. Be Intentionally Missional

Engage your workplace, school, home, or community as your God-assigned field. Initiate spiritual conversations.

Show Christ in action.

3. Disciple Someone

Don't just share the gospel build people. Find one person you can walk with spiritually and help grow in Christ.

4. Join a Mission Initiative

Whether it's outreach in your city or cross-cultural missions, plug into a ministry that takes the gospel beyond the walls of the church.

5. Share Your Testimony

Your story matters. Use your voice online, at gatherings, or one-on-one to declare what Jesus has done for you.

"Don't just read this devotional-become it."

Let The Missionary Christian be your lifestyle, not just your July reading.

Author's Note

It has been an honor to write "The Missionary Christian." This is more than a devotional— it's a call to action for the everyday believer. As I wrote and prayed through each day, I imagined believers in their quiet places, asking God, "Where are You sending me today?" I am convinced that the greatest mission fields are not always overseas. They are often the lunch table at work, the street corner, the hospital bed, or the dinner table. Every Christian has a pulpit, and every moment is a divine appointment.

These 31 devotionals were written to stir your heart, renew your focus, and fuel your obedience. My prayer is that you will emerge from this month more intentional, more surrendered, and more in love with the mission of Christ.

Let's live sent.

With love and conviction,
